Sand Casting Process
Sand casting is a metal casting process characterized by the use of sand as the mold material. The process begins with creating a pattern of the object to be cast, which is then placed in a sand mixture to form a mold. Once the mold is prepared, molten metal is poured into it, filling the cavity created by the pattern. After the metal cools and solidifies, the sand mold is broken away, revealing the finished cast object. This technique is widely used due to its versatility, cost-effectiveness, and ability to produce complex shapes.
